Brunch For Any Occasion By Orange County Best Caterers
Brunch, what is it anyway? Not quite lunch and too late for breakfast. Hence breakfast and lunch have been married into the thing we call brunch served at 11:00 am sharp. However; it's a great time to get creative and one of the best events you can plan simply because there is a lot of choice. Here we will explain why and give you a lead on to what you can do and what kinds of events you can serve a brunch in.
Why Do Brunch for your Event.
Brunch gives way to so many choices and because of the time of day, you won't have to spend as you would for a sit down lunch or dinner. Brunch is served at 11am which is an hour past breakfast and just before noon. There is a plethora of hybrid breakfast and lunch choices to choose from. In fact, you can have both--anything from a breakfast or lunch menu is completely legal. You can certainly have pancakes and sandwiches or a variety of appetizers.
Why not make it a Brunch Buffet?
There are several good reasons to make brunch a buffet. Since, it is between two meal times you have as many choices and choice combinations that you can think of. Here is the way you can do it the way major hotels and resorts do it. And believe us when we say the hospitality industry is very sensitive to their bottom line so, this is also the best way to make things cost effective yet impress your guests with enough choice. That's the deal with the food industry. You have to provide a few things. One is great taste and choice as well as presentation and value. So, let's get down to a viable layout shall we?
OK, so you've got breakfast and lunch to choose from. Let's give you a basic layout and then you can create a list for us to review with you. Start by visualizing the buffet table. We can go from left to right like we read to make it easier for your mind to absorb. OK so we can start with a small juice bar; orange, grapefruit and tomato should be good enough. Then we move from fruit juices to fruits like melons and pineapples. After fruits come great bread rolls and then waffles and or pancakes. You can be a little creative with that and allow your guests to create their own pancake or waffle toppings.
You can add an omelet bar as well with an attendant which would be one of us and have them build their own. Then next you can have yogurts and then we start with a cold cut platter next to a veggie platter and so forth. Get the idea. You begin with a continental style breakfast and slide on over to the lunch side. Your guests have a variety and they leave full and happy and they will also have the chance to mingle a bit as well. That's the beauty part of having a buffet as opposed to a sit down brunch.
The Sit Down Brunch.
The sit down brunch is something a little more formal. Most times you do this with weddings or any formal gathering at the proper time of day. But, this doesn't allow you to have the creativity or mingling factor. However; in our experience, we can make a great menu full of several of those choices for your guests. Several restaurants that serve brunch will actually have a nice selection of combination choices. Like an eggs Benedict with a choice of fruit or waffle or something.
Brunches don't have to be complicated at all. You just have to think outside the box. And know the basics about the tastes of your guests. Remember that's all you have to think of because the rest we at Orange County Best Caterers is what we have to deal with for you. We just make you look like the pro and if your guests are impressed--and we know they will be--then we've done out job!
